Currently, Richard is an adjunct instructor in the American University School of Education, Editor of the forthcoming Handbook of Research on Challenging Deficit Thinking for Exceptional Education Improvement, teaching Middle School students in the Self-Contained setting, completing his 200hr yoga teacher certification, and joining the 2022 Applied Compassion Training (Cohort 2) at The Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education with Stanford Medicine.

More About Arman Lakes

Dr. Arman Lakes is proud HBCU Alumni of both Clark Atlanta University (BA, MA) and Howard University (Ed.D.), Bill and Melinda Gates Scholar, and Education Pioneers Fellow.  Currently, Dr. Lakes supports Ubuntu ES as the lead consultant, and serves as a Professional School Counselor, and Adjunct Instructor. Dr. Lakes is currently preparing to further his Professional School Counseling Services to include Art Therapy and other authentic and affirming supports.
